2025 Certificate Graduates
“Congratulations to our first group to graduate from our ‘Professional Certificate in Working with Complex Trauma and Sexual Abuse’ course.
Over the past 10 months these wonderful participants have expanded their skills and knowledge in working therapeutically with survivors of Child S.A.
If you are a therapist looking to upskill in this area, you can register for the next course starting in January 2026. Click here for more details.
Feedback from one graduate:
I participated in the pilot of this certificate course and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any therapist who wants to work with survivors of childhood sexual abuse with greater confidence and skill.
The facilitators brought decades of direct, specialist experience. Their attuned, relational approach created space for genuine exploration and reflection. The programme was thoughtfully structured, weaving together theory, experiential learning, and case discussions in a way that felt cohesive and practical.
What further enriched the course was the group itself—participants brought deep insight from their own specialised work, and their contributions added real depth to our learning together.
My time with One in Four has left me with profound respect for this organisation—not just for the essential work they do, but for the way they do it: with commitment, respect, and genuine care for each other and for the people they serve.

Pilot Training with IACP

On September 12th we ran a successful pilot training course titled “Counselling Notes – Awareness and Practice” to drive awareness on the use of counselling notes in criminal trials. Thank you to the IACP for helping us organise this important training for 18 of their members, including IACP Chair Jade Lawless, Vice Chair Chris Place. The feedback shows that there is a mandate for us to run more of these trainings for psychotherapists in Ireland:
“All therapists need to have this information”
“Every psychotherapist should do this as this is not covered in other training”

CFPA Study Visit

Last week we got to host 6 members of the Cyprus Family Planning Association (CFPA) for a 3-day study visit.
Since 2021 their organisation offers vital Psychological Support Services for Adults with Experience of Childhood Sexual Abuse and Exploitation through their NIMA programme.
During their visit we exchanged best practices across all our services, from therapy to advocacy and prevention to training.
We are looking forward to continuing this international collaboration and wish them all the best as they broaden their service offerings and continue to grow their team.
