At One in Four our mission for over 20 years is to end the trauma of child sexual abuse in Ireland.
We have worked persistently to break the silence and destigmatise the shame surrounding childhood sexual abuse. As the first charity of its kind in Ireland, we have built expert services to address the complex and diverse needs of survivors and as a result we have developed responsive and tailored services which have yielded positive outcomes for thousands of men and women across Ireland.
We offer a comprehensive wrap around service model, our expert-led support services include:
- Advocacy: (Specialised support through the legal process, mainly criminal justice. Court accompaniment through hearings & Garda interviews, with compassionate and empathetic trauma informed professionals.)
- Therapeutic: (Individual and group counselling led by highly qualified therapists, lies at the heart of every survivor’s journey beyond their experience of abuse.)
- Family Support: (We offer invaluable family support to help close relatives come to terms with the knowledge that abuse has occurred within their family.)
- Intervention Programme: (Therapeutic intervention for people who have sexually offended as a core child protection measure).
- Research : Attitudinal Research into Tackling Child Sexual Abuse in Ireland. Dr. Karen Hand, 2025. and The Victim Experience in Focus, Naomi Gould, 2021.
