One in Four began in 2002 with a clear purpose: supporting adult survivors of child sexual abuse. What started as a small, determined team has since grown into Ireland’s leading organisation offering specialised survivor support.
Irish research from the Sexual Abuse and Violence in Ireland (SAVI) Report, released in2002, found that approximately one in four people had experienced sexual abuse before the age of 18. Our name reflects this reality and the scale of the issue we work to address. More recent national data indicate the rate may now be approaching one in three children.
