Dr Julie Brown
Dr Julie Brown is a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. She has worked in the area of sexual violence and trauma for twenty years. She is the Clinical Director of One in Four, Ireland where she manages a team of therapists in delivering individual and group therapy to survivors of child sexual abuse, people who have committed sexual offences against children, and the families of both. Julie is a Training Analyst and teaches on the MSc in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at Trinity College Dublin. Her doctoral study explored the unconscious functions of Child Sexual Exploitation Material.
Dr Melissa Darmody
Dr Melissa Darmody is a Counselling Psychologist who trained in the US, UK and Ireland. She started her career working in a Rape Crisis Centre in the US and over the past thirty years has had a particular interest in working with victims of abuse and trauma. She has authored many professional articles and co-authored the book, ‘Becoming a Solution Detective’. She is a trained mediator and has developed her expertise in restorative justice practices. In the past five years she has advanced her training and experience as a Forensic Psychologist and is currently a member of the Forensic Psychology division of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
Luke Devlin
Luke Devlin is an IACP-accredited psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting men through therapeutic, community, and offender prevention programmes. Recognised as an authority on men’s mental health, his master’s research focused on Male Gender Role Conflict, exploring how societal expectations around masculinity impact wellbeing and help-seeking. Luke works with men navigating trauma, addiction, abuse, and other emotional challenges, combining evidence-based practice with a deep understanding of male experiences. He is also the author of The Anatomy of a Silent Scream, a novel inspired by his clinical work that highlights the often-unspoken emotional struggles men face and the importance of addressing them.
Dr Conn Dorai-Raj
Dr Conn Dorai-Raj (MSc., D.Couns.Psych., C. Psychol., Ps SI), is a Principal Counselling & Forensic Psychologist and Chartered Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland. In his primary role as psychology manager at The Alders Unit at Children’s Health Ireland, Conn works therapeutically with children and adolescents who have experienced sexual violence and conducts child forensic assessments and supports parents and carers of impacted young people. Conn also carries out psychological and risk assessments for violent and sexual offending on people engaging with the criminal justice system. He has previously worked as a psychologist in the Irish Prison Service, where he had oversight of the Building Better Lives programme for sexual offending. In his role as part-time lecturer, Conn also trains psychotherapy trainees on the MSc. in Psychotherapy at Dublin City University.
Naomi Gould
Naomi Gould is the Advocacy Director at One in Four, Ireland, providing advocacy and support for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and their families, helping them navigate the criminal justice system, civil law system, and access specialist services. Since stepping into her leadership role in advocacy, she has played a key part in advancing research and shaping practice that reflects survivors’ voices and experiences. Known for her empathetic, trauma-informed approach, Naomi combines strategic insight with compassionate engagement to support individuals at pivotal moments in their journey. Her work contributes to wider efforts to destigmatise abuse and improve responses for those affected.
Ciara Griffiths
Ciara Griffiths is an integrative psychotherapist with a wealth of experience working with adults and young people from the age of 10 years. Ciara is the Senior Psychotherapist with the Prevention Programme in One in Four. Prior to this, she worked as a Senior in NIAPP developing programmes to address Harmful Sexual Behaviour, providing assessments, individual and group therapy, family work and providing training to residential units and other organisations. She has worked in the area of Harmful Sexual Behaviour since 2012 and recognises that a holistic approach is often necessary when addressing issues surrounding Harmful Sexual Behaviour and Sexual Abuse.
Bobbi Grogan
Bobbi Grogan is an accredited Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with years of experience working with individuals and groups affected by complex trauma. With a background in addiction services and residential care for young people, she was driven to explore deeper, internal healing rather than surface solutions. Trained in humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, Bobbi has a particular passion for Gestalt therapy, body-based work, and shadow work. She has been with One in Four since 2010 and is deeply motivated by supporting survivors of sexual violence to reclaim trust, compassion, and their authentic selves.
Deirdre Kenny
Deirdre Kenny is the CEO of One in Four, an organisation that provides professional supports to individuals who have experienced child sexual abuse, those who engage in sexually harmful behaviour and the families of both. With over 22 years of experience in the NGO sector in Ireland and Africa, she has worked on issues like HIV/AIDS, prostitution, human trafficking, and child protection. This background gives her a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable populations, allowing her to develop comprehensive solutions.
Additionally, Deirdre is a Restorative Justice Facilitator and Trainer.
Ruth Kerins
Ruth Kerins is a Senior Psychotherapist with One in Four, Ireland, a leading organisation supporting people affected by sexual violence. She holds an MA in Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School and is fully accredited by the Irish Association of Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP). Ruth works with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health and emotional wellbeing concerns, with particular interests in trauma, recovery from sexual abuse, perinatal psychotherapy, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and sexuality. She brings a compassionate, humanistic approach to her work, offering a safe and supportive space for healing, reflection, and personal growth.
Maeve Lewis
Maeve Lewis is a seasoned psychotherapist, trainer and human rights advocate with extensive experience in trauma, counselling and international project work. She has worked with the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, developing trauma‑counsellor training programmes in post‑conflict regions including Rwanda, Croatia and Sierra Leone, and has contributed expert training for the International Criminal Court in the Democratic Republic of Congo. For 16 years she led One in Four, Ireland, the national charity providing trauma-informed counselling, advocacy and prevention, expanding its impact and shaping cross-sector initiatives on child safety and survivors’ rights. Maeve has also taught and supervised psychotherapists and continues her clinical practice from a humanistic perspective. Recognised for her leadership and impact, she holds an honorary doctorate for her contribution to improving responses for survivors of sexual violence in Ireland.
Sandra McGrath
Sandra McGrath is an experienced psychotherapist and trauma‑informed practitioner based in Dublin, with over 25 years’ experience in health and social care and integrative psychotherapy. She currently works as Waiting List Case Manager at One in Four, Ireland, supporting people affected by sexual violence, and maintains a private practice with Insight Matters, where her work focuses on trauma and developmental issues. Sandra began her career in social care before training as an integrative psychotherapist, earning an MSc in Psychotherapy from Dublin City University and accreditation with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Her approach combines depth of clinical insight with compassionate support.
Antoinette McKeogh
Antoinette McKeogh is an experienced psychotherapist at One in Four, Ireland, where she plays a key role in delivering trauma informed therapeutic services to adults affected by sexual violence and abuse. Accredited with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), she brings deep clinical insight to her work and supports fellow practitioners through supervision and reflective practice. Antoinette trained at the Tivoli Institute of Psychotherapy and has a strong commitment to evidence based care, prioritising safety, resilience and empowerment in her practice with individuals and groups.
Beatrice Metzler
Beatrice Metzler is a values-driven coach, trainer and learning manager with extensive experience supporting individuals and teams to build confidence, clarity and capability. She has worked across learning design, coaching and facilitation, bringing a people-centred approach that blends practical insight with empathetic support. Beatrice has delivered learning and development work within global organisations such as Meta and currently works as Training Manager for One in Four, Ireland, supporting trauma-informed and socially impactful programmes. Known for her engaging workshop delivery and thoughtful coaching style, she helps participants unlock their potential and apply new skills with confidence and purpose.
Anastasia Ntoula
Anastasia Ntoula is a licensed psychologist and trauma informed practitioner based in Dublin, with an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Derby and a BSc in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her work focuses on supporting adults affected by trauma, including complex emotional distress and the impacts of sexual violence, through evidence based psychological approaches, including Neurofeedback Training. Anastasia has experience working with diverse clients in clinical and community settings, integrating a compassionate, person centred style that honours resilience and recovery. She is committed to professional development and collaborative practice, contributing to improved therapeutic responses and better outcomes for individuals navigating trauma and relational challenges.
Maggie O’Neill
Maggie O’Neill is an accredited Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, holding a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapy & Counselling. She has been accredited with IAHIP since 2007 and recognised as a Clinical Supervisor since 2019. Maggie has extensive experience across private practice, higher education, and specialist trauma services. She has worked as a Case Manager and Child Protection Officer with Towards Healing and currently tutors first and second year psychotherapy students at Dublin Business School. Her specialist interests include trauma recovery, restorative justice, shamanic healing, infertility, pregnancy loss, and creative therapeutic approaches. Maggie currently practices privately and with One in Four.
Lorraine Owens
Lorraine Owens is an accredited psychotherapist and IACP member, holding an MSc in Adolescent Psychotherapy, a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, and a Diploma in Community Drugs & Alcohol Work. She takes a humanistic and integrative approach to her work, drawing on person-centred (Rogerian) and existential therapies to meet the unique needs of each client. Lorraine has a strong background in homelessness, family support, and childhood trauma, and has previously worked as a Senior Therapist with One in Four. She currently works within the HSE.
Jo Wright
Jo Wright is the Waiting List Manager at One in Four Ireland, bringing over 25 years’ experience as a social worker within mental health services in London, Oxfordshire, and Italy. Since relocating to Ireland and joining One in Four in 2021, Jo has drawn on her extensive background in trauma-informed practice to support individuals at the earliest stages of their engagement. In her role, she manages the therapy waiting list and provides short-term support, including personalised check-ins, crisis planning, referrals, and guidance while individuals await ongoing therapeutic care. Jo also co-facilitates a six-week coping skills course for clients on the waiting list, offering psychoeducation and equipping participants with practical skills to help stabilise symptoms and prepare them to make the most of individual therapy when it becomes available.
